Ampo Service supports technical staff of Fluxys LNG

FLUXYS LNG, a Belgian natural gas operator, has once again chosen AMPO POYAM VALVES for the construction and commissioning valve services required for its Z3 capacity increase project at Zeebrugge LNG. Over the span of a year, AMPO SERVICE technicians have been present on-site in Belgium to provide assistance to the technical team of Fluxys LNG. Their mission encompasses extending the service life of valves, aiding in the pipe cleaning process, assembling internal valve components, and actively participating in the commissioning and start-up procedures of the plant.

For the capacity increase project, AMPO POYAM VALVES supplied approximately 660 highly engineered cryogenic manual and actuated valves in 2022 and 2023. These valves have been installed in both the new sea water LNG vaporizers and the truck loading stations at Zeebrugge LNG. Through this initiative, Fluxys aims to strategically enhance the regasification capacity of the plant to 6mtpa, while also reducing CO2 emissions and automating the number of LNG truck loading bays.

Benefitting from a longstanding partnership, AMPO POYAM VALVES has delivered over 2,500 highly engineered cryogenic valves to Fluxys for various construction and capacity increase projects since 2006. The exceptional performance of AMPO SERVICE technicians and experts during previous plant construction and start-up phases led Fluxys to once again entrust AMPO with a year-long Field Engineering Services contract.
