Angola: Rosa subsea contract

FMC Technologies Inc. subsidiary FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS, has inked contracts with Total to supply subsea systems for the Rosa project, offshore Angola. The total value of the contracts are approximately USD 120 million. The contracts include 18 subsea trees, manifolds, production controls and associated systems. FMC Technologies also will supply technical services related to installation and start-up. The supply of equipment, including local content, will be supported by the FMC Kongsberg Subsea operations in Angola. Deliveries will be completed over a multi-year period and are scheduled to commence in 2005. The Rosa field is located in water depths ranging from approximately 4200 to 4900 FSW and is about 9 miles from the GIRASSOL FPSO, which will serve as the Rosa host field. Rosa is scheduled to come on stream in the first half of 2007, and it will raise and prolong the peak production of the GIRASSOL FPSO. Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola (Sonangol) is the Block 17 Concessionaire. In addition to Total, other participants in the Block are ExxonMobil, BP, Statoil and Norsk Hydro.
