The Chemline Type 14 and Type 15 diaphragm valves are an improved version of the older DV Series. These valves have been redesigned using modern computer design technology to improve resistance to higher pressures, lower hand wheel torques to close, better hydraulics (lower pressure losses) and other features. The Type 14 valves are also vastly improved with respect to resistance to bonnet leakage on tough applications with thermal cycling. This is an excellent throttling valve, suited for slurries or viscous liquids. It is also good for sanitary and high purity applications due to its self-draining design with no dead volume and offers higher temperature/pressure ratings and chemical resistance compared to other Chemline valve types. There is a large choice of materials including PVDF bodies and TeflonR diaphragms for extremely aggressive services
