Bilfinger extends service agreement with BP

The engineering and services group Bilfinger has again extended an important agreement for the maintenance of oil and gas production facilities in the North Sea. In the coming two years, the company will deliver extensive corrosion protection, insulation and scaffolding works for BP at the Ula, Valhall and Skarv fields. The order volume is approximately EUR 50M.

This extension of the agreement with BP is a major success for the group in the Norwegian oil and gas sector, and follows its new EUR 40M contract with Statoil.

“In industrial services, we want to continuously expand our position in attractive markets”, says Pieter Koolen, member of the Executive Board at Bilfinger SE. “In order to move development in the oil and gas business forward, our activities in this sector have been combined in a single Oil and Gas division since January 2014”.
