New plant for high-performance in China
BASF is building a new Ultramid polymerisation plant with a capacity of 100,000t per year in Shanghai, China. The new plant is planned to start up in 2015.
The BASF wholly owned plant would be built at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Caojing, which is also home to a large-scale facility for integrated isocyanates, operated by BASF and partners.

Control valve specialist Severn Glocon has been awarded a landmark contract to supply 536 engineered control valves for the processing plant on the Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities. The contract includes cryogenic valves of up to 42`` bore, weighing around 20t, as well as valves with pressure ratings of up to 2,500 ANSI.
New R&D facility at Yorkshire
Valve engineering expert Severn Unival has opened a new GBP 2.5M facility in Brighouse, Yorkshire (UK) following significant business growth. The 60,000ft2 purpose-built premises have been designed to foster greater efficiency and technical advancement.
