McDermott awards EPCI
McDermott International, Inc. announced that one of its subsidiaries has received a letter of award for a turnkey contract for the PB-Litoral-A production platform for PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion in the Litoral Tabasco Tsimin-Xux fields.
Intertek secures GBP 3M contract
Intertek, the global provider of quality and safety services, has secured work with Maersk Oil UK worth GBP 3M to provide offshore chemists and onshore laboratory analysis support. The three-year contract has the option for two one year extensions and will see Intertek provide offshore chemists full time for three of the operator’s assets, as well as a supporting team in the laboratory.

Penny and Giles has supplied its ICS100 linear potentiometers to provide positional feedback for Xylem Flow Control’s electro-hydraulic actuators. These are used to control choke and control valves used in the oil and gas industry and for water and wastewater treatment applications.
Rotork actuators used on Royal Navy aircraft carri
Hundreds of Rotork electric actuators are being installed on the Royal Navy’s giant new aircraft carriers HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales, both of which will be 920ft long and weigh in at 65,000 tonnes full displacement. 
Rotork CVA electric control valve actuators are being installed during an upgrade programme on the pipeline network connecting Russia and Central Asia with Western Europe. 
Rotork Gears has supplied specialised declutch manual override gearboxes on swift delivery for a damper drive retrofit upgrade project at a large municipal power plant.
