McDermott awards EPCI

McDermott International, Inc. announced that one of its subsidiaries has received a letter of award for a turnkey contract for the PB-Litoral-A production platform for PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion in the Litoral Tabasco Tsimin-Xux fields.

Intertek secures GBP 3M contract

Intertek, the global provider of quality and safety services, has secured work with Maersk Oil UK worth GBP 3M to provide offshore chemists and onshore laboratory analysis support. The three-year contract has the option for two one year extensions and will see Intertek provide offshore chemists full time for three of the operator’s assets, as well as a supporting team in the laboratory.

Bürkert introduces butterfly isolation valves

Bürkert UK has recently annonced the introdution of an extended range of butterfly isolation valves for applications in the food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical, water treatment, petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.

Penny and Giles potentiometers feedback for Xylem

Penny and Giles has supplied its ICS100 linear potentiometers to provide positional feedback for Xylem Flow Control’s electro-hydraulic actuators. These are used to control choke and control valves used in the oil and gas industry and for water and wastewater treatment applications.

STATS Group completes North Sea isolation project

Pipeline engineering specialist, STATS Group, has completed an isolation project on a 16" subsea pipeline in the Dutch sector of the North Sea on behalf of Wintershall Noordzee.  A four module 16" remote Tecno Plug™ was pigged by STATS personnel from the K5-A platform to the subsea isolation position 300m from the platform.

Hardide wins nuclear coating bid from EDF Energy

According to a recent press release, the advanced surface coating company,Hardide Coatings,has been selected by EDF Energy to provide coatings that will extend the life of the 15 MW boiler feed pump system valves at the Hinkley Point B nuclear power plant in Somerset, UK.

Aker Solutions signs Alvheim contract

Aker Solutions has recently signed a contract with Marathon Oil Norge for the delivery of subsea trees to the Alvheim field on the Norwegian continental shelf. The value of the contract is undisclosed.
