Mott MacDonald’s North American company, Hatch Mott MacDonald, has acquired Richard P Arber Associates based in Lakewood, Colorado and Gibson Engineers PC from Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Saipem to build pipeline to Gladstone
Gladstone LNG Operations Pty Ltd. has awarded Saipem the EPC contract for a 42 in. diameter, 435 km long gas pipeline. The USD 1 billion project will connect the gas fields in the Bowen and Surat Basins to the Gladstone State Development Area where a LNG liquefaction and export facility is to be built.
Power station upgrades with Rotork CVA
At one of the Gothenberg Energy power stations in Sweden, the company has introduced the Rotork CVA electric control valve actuator on a fluid drive application in order to update the equipment and reduce maintenance requirements.
Dresser lands strategic supply contract
Dresser has announced the renewal of a strategic supply agreement to serve as a global alliance supplier for a major engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance and project management (EPC) customer. The agreement includes the extensive supply of Dresser Consolidated and Dresser Masoneilan product and valve offerings for end user customer projects. Dresser Consolidated and Dresser Masoneilan engineers will work closely with partner engineers to develop flow and pressure control valve and safety pressure relief valve solutions for a wide range of applications in the oil and gas, power generation, chemical and petrochemical, life sciences, water and other process industries.
Australia LNG project tendered
Arrow Energy has issued an invitation to four international and Australian consortia to tender for the front end engineering design (FEED) contract for its planned Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Plant on Curtis Island.
The Bahrain National Gas Company, Banagas, has invited contractors to pre qualify for the engineering, procurement and construction contract for a gas compressor station contract at its complex in Sitra. 
The contract for the 2700MW South Texas Project Units 3 & 4 has been awarded to a restructured EPC consortium formed by Toshiba America Nuclear Energy Corp. and The Shaw Group Inc. byNuclear Innovation North America LLC (NINA). 
A consortium consisting of Ansaldo Energia and SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a €240 million contract by Société tunisienne de l’éléctricité et de gaz (STEG) for the construction of a new gas fired combined cycle power plant. 
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) for a seawater desalination project to be executed in Ras Az Zawr.
