ABB, the power and automation group, completed the sale of Power-One’s Power Solutions business to Bel Fuse Inc. headquartered in Jersey City. Bel and its divisions are primarily engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of products used in networking, telecommunications, high-speed data transmission, commercial aerospace, military, transportation and consumer electronics.

TechnoGas is Air Products distributer in Kuwait

Air Products signed a distributor agreement with the Kuwaiti company TechnoGas. Air Products has been offering ultra-high-purity gases (UHP), calibration mixtures, process chemicals and equipment to customers globally for over 40 years.

KSB invests in French production site upgrade

The KSB Group has announced a large investment in its La Roche-Chalais factory located in the west of France.

The aim is to strengthen and extend the company's position on the global cryogenic valves market.

Mojo Maritime expands into France

Mojo Maritime, the Falmouth-based marine renewable energy experts, has expanded into France, having incorporated a wholly owned French subsidiary in response to the growing French tidal energy market. Mojo Maritime France is headquartered in Cherbourg, Normandy, and has operations in Nantes, Western France.

Yamal LNG project contract for Bestobell Marine

Bestobell Marine secured a major new order for cryogenic globe, check and the unique FLIV valve with South Korean shipbuilding company DSME. The order is for a complete ship set of globe and check cargo valves to be installed on the first LNGC vessel that is part of a larger series of 16 vessels, and that will be built for the widely publicised Yamal LNG project, under construction in Siberian Russia.

SKF secures LTA for Kaydon bearings

SKF has secured a long-term agreement (LTA) for around EUR 130M for Kaydon slewing ring bearings from a major wind turbine manufacturer providing solutions to the North American and Brazilian wind segments.

Melexis Technologies introduces the MLX92242, the latest addition to the company’s -Hall effect switch/latch IC offering. These highly integrated devices contain a voltage regulator as well as Hall sensing element and a current sink-configured output driver, all in a single compact, low-profile package.

FoundOcean offers offshore trials of its MGP units

Following over 26,000 installations worldwide, FoundOcean announced its plans to allow trails of its latest range of Marine Growth Prevention (MGP) units on an unnamed offshore wind farm jacket structure in the UK.

Prysmian wins contract for offshore wind parks

Prysmian Group, the energy and telecom cable systems company, secured a EUR 730M contract (including options for grid connections worth approx. EUR 250M) from 50Hertz Offshore – a subsidiary of 50Hertz Transmission, operator of transmission grids in Germany – to design, produce and install the power cable systems for the offshore wind park cluster West of Adlergrund in the German Baltic Sea.
