Climate testing room

Valvitalia has completed the assembly and installation of a special climate testing room in its headquarters plant in Rivanazzano, Italy, in order to perform cold and hot temperature testing of ball valves up to and including 48” Class 600 complete with pup pieces, stem extension, hydraulic power unit and gas over oil actuators. The total size of this test box facility is 210 cubic metres, with an actual height of 7 metres. The cold test can be performed at -50 Deg C to ensure the full operability of the complete Assembly in extreme environmental conditions. The hot test can be performed at +80 C. This test has been specifically requested by Sakhalin Energy for the Sakhalin II Pipeline Project, where Valvitalia is supplying a large contract of actuated ball valves. The testing will also be fully endorsed by Shell Global Solutions during the latest qualification Process of Valvitalia Ball valve products.
