DGI Doedijns to relocate at Zoetermeer

DGI Doedijns, located in Waddinxveen since March 2000, is moving to a new location in Zoetermeer. Together with sister company DGI Sypack, which already is located in Zoetermeer, it will enter new premises in the Dutch Innovation Park in Zoetermeer. The company is expected to move to Zoetermeer at the end of this year.

Frank Robben, CEO of DGI: “Within DGI we saw a lot of synergy between the two companies. This created the wish to bring the activities together in one location. This will increase internal collaboration and strengthen our position in the market. “

Finding suitable accommodation with the right facilities was not an easy task. “Since we assemble and test all our systems in-house within DGI, the workplace must, in addition to our own wishes, also comply with a number of laws and quality standards,” says Robben. “In addition, the location has to house our engineering and component division.” To meet all requirements, the building on Bleiswijkseweg will be renovated and the workshop will be expanded, with the result that the surface of the building covers 8260 square meters after renovation.

The company, active in the oil and gas, maritime and sustainable and renewable energy sees an increase of the importance of Industry 4.0 and big data. “We have opted for a location within the Dutch Innovation Park in Zoetermeer. With the presence of, among others, the Dutch Tech Campus and The Hague High School, we see great opportunities to further expand our business.”
