DTE Energy Services, a subsidiary of DTE Energy Co., has awarded a contract to the Shaw Group Inc. to provide engineering, procurement and construction services to instal a fourth 80mw electric power unit at the Georgetown Station in suburban Indianapolis, bringing the plant capacity to 320mw. Shaw’s subsidiary, Stone & Webster Inc. will execute the engineering and construction. This Georgetown unit will utilise a natural gas-fired combustion turbine, operating in simple-cycle mode. Stone & Webster completed the installation of units 1–3 in May, ahead of schedule. Stone & Webster execute construction activities for the unit. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2001.
