Red Valve now provides a complete effluent diffuser system for wastewater treatment, including flexible Redflex® Rubber Risers and Elbows and Tideflex® Diffuser Valves. The patented Duckbill® design of Tideflex® Diffuser Valves increases jet velocity, improves mixing and prevents the backflow of sand and sediment into the header pipe. Constructed entirely of resilient elastomer, the system is less susceptible to wear and breakage than other types of diffuser systems. The Tideflex® Effluent Diffuser System lowered chlorine and ammonia concentration levels at discharge for the City of Moline, Ill., and won consulting engineer Shive-Hattery a state award for innovative design and effectiveness.
