A raw water treatment plant replaced butterfly valves with Flowrox pinch valves in water feeding pipelines to filters. Raw water, especially calcium which is included in the water, caused hard crystallisation to the inner part of the butterfly valves, which then constantly jammed the valves.
After installing Flowrox valves, the customer has not needed to worry about jamming. Maintenance of the raw water filter is easier, since the Flowrox pinch valves isolate it completely from the main raw water pipeline.
