Foundation ceremony for administration centre

AUMA has set the course for future growth with a foundation stone ceremony for a new administration centre at its headquarters in Muellheim, Germany. Following scheduled completion in 2016, all international activities will be co-ordinated from the 20m Euro facility, which will provide over 7,000 square metres of additional working space for the AUMA organisation.

To mark the commencement of building work, members of AUMA’s senior management team attended a foundation stone ceremony with local dignitaries. As part of the commemorative event, a time capsule was buried – contents included AUMA components, a company magazine and current newspapers.

Commenting on the role of the centre, AUMA’s Commercial Manager Matthias Dinse said: “Increasing complexity in process plants across all sectors requires more tailored and specialised actuation technology. Correspondingly, demand for training and support is growing. To meet this need, we have designed the new administration facility which will include a 4,200 square metre training centre.”

Reporting on the modern, sophisticated architecture, which reflects the AUMA brand, Mr Henrik Newerla, AUMA’s Technical Managing Director, advised that the facility will ensure a comfortable, productive working environment for employees and showcase the company’s modular electric actuation products and skills to visitors.
