Global valve engineering firm strengthens leadership

Valve engineering specialist Severn Glocon Group has made strategic changes to its executive leadership team following investment from Blue Water Energy at the start of the year.
CEO Colin Findlay has selected six key individuals to join him in steering the business through the challenging times resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. These include three external appointments and three internal promotions.
Operating at a Group level are Jacqueline Hills who takes the newly created role of General Counsel and Chief Commercial Officer Rhys Jones. These high-caliber individuals bring a wealth of industry experience and specialist knowledge to their respective roles.
They are joined by David Brennan who has been appointed Managing Director across Severn Glocon’s Gloucester headquarters, Severn Glocon Aberdeen, and Brighouse-based Severn Unival. He will focus on maximising synergies between these business units which develop innovative valve engineering solutions and products for new and established plants worldwide.
Existing employees Matt Capell, Rob Green, and Wyndham Meredith have been promoted to new roles. Capell becomes Chief Financial Officer and Green is now Product Director, with a global Group-wide remit. Meredith takes the role of Plant Director for Severn’s small-bore subsea valve business LB Bentley.
Findlay says his strong and committed leadership team has got the necessary skills and determination to drive progress at Severn despite the market challenges:
