Jacobs awarded EPCM contract

Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Nippon Shokubai Europe N.V. for detailed engineering, procurement and construction management services for the expansion of the Superabsorbent Polymer Plant and a new acrylic acid plant at the Nippon Shokubai Europe site in Zwijndrecht (Antwerp), Belgium.

The total investment cost (TIC) of the installation is approximately USD 390M (EUR 350M). The project is scheduled to be mechanically complete in October 2017.
