Jacobs wins hydrogen project

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has won a contract from Koch Petroleum Group for project and construction management services of Koch’s grassroots No. 3 Hydrogen Plant. The project includes detailed engineering and design of the offsite facilities at Koch’s Pine Bend refinery. Jacobs has also received a contract from Century Contractors Inc. to provide engineering, architecture, procurement, and validation services for the completion of Biopure Corp.’s large-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Jacobs’s scope of work includes engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the new plant, which will enhance the refinery’s capability for producing low-sulphur fuels and processing synthetic crude oil. The project will create a hydrogen facility capable of producing approximately 35 million standard cubic feet per day.
