One UK manufacturer has revamped its hydraulic controls systems for the critical application of turbine bypass valves in the power industry, making them more energy efficient, cutting lead times on new orders, and improving monitoring capabilities. Advanced Actuators, which has been designing and building hydraulic actuators and systems for 40 years, has successfully integrated electrical controls with the hydraulic systems.
Advanced Actuators has also introduced security levels specifically for customer intervention, to bank-level encryption, which allows only fully trained engineers to commission the controls. The integration of controls for actuators used on other applications, such as warm-up valves is also available.
