New valve driver manages valves

The compact, easy to implement D1 PWM Valve Driver from Enfield Technologies is designed specifically to drive and manage the company’s proportional valves, as well as those of several other brands. The D1 converts proportional command voltage into a -1.1…1.1A current signal to drive the valve’s linear force motor and helps users avoid the effort and expense of characterizing valves and developing electronics for their application. Most applications may be accommodated because the D1 allows a 12 or 24 VDC power supply. The D1 also easily interfaces with the valve in applications using programmable logic controllers or computers, which results in elimination for the need to write valve management routines that consume valuable processing cycles needed for other machine functions. The D1 also features short circuit protection and LED indicators for power and status/fault activity. It has a temperature range of -40C to 65C, and can be used in a variety of environments.
