Pentair expands Korean operations with new facility

Pentair Valves & Controls is expanding its Anseong manufacturing facility in South Korea. The plant will now produce trunnion-mounted ball valves under Pentair’s FCT brand as well.

The expanded facility enables Pentair to supply ball valves for local projects, offering Korean EPC customers high quality products, shorter lead times and cost savings. Operations at the plant include valve manufacture, assembly and testing for critical applications in the onshore and offshore oil & gas, marine and LNG industries.

The plant will produce forged carbon steel and FCT-branded stainless steel ball valves, certified to API 6D and API 607, in sizes up to 24″. Superior design features, such as an anti-blow-out stem shouldered inside the body and a three-barrier stem sealing, ensure fire safety and fugitive emission control for maximum protection and reliability. In addition, the valve’s true double block and bleed control at full rating with high trim resistance helps to provide a longer service life in critical process applications, such as water hammers.

“The expansion of our capabilities at the Anseong facility is an exciting development that will offer numerous benefits to meet the needs of our Korean customers”, says Luc Joosens, global business director, ball valves, Pentair Valves & Controls.
