Proportional Spool Valve with Integrated Electronics

The spool valve is pilot operated by a new proportional pressure reducing valve. The main control spool can thus be controlled very precisely with a low hysteresis. The integrated electronics turns the valve into a compact actuation unit with a direct connection to a superordinated control system.

The valve can be operated up to a volume flow of 200 l/min and a pressure of up to 350 bar. The nominal flow at a pressure drop of 10 bar is 90 l/min and can be sensitively controlled by a variable solenoid current. It is perfectly suitable for demanding applications, due to its high resolution, high volume flow and low hysteresis.

The pilot operated valve is used where high volume flows have to be controlled. Thanks to the large flow range and the high stiffness of the actuation as a result of the pilot control, this valve is suitable for applications where fast acceleration and deceleration processes, high speeds and sensitive motion sequences are required.

The applications are in the industrial and mobile hydraulics for smooth control of hydraulic actuations. The valve of nominal size NG10 is available as a 4/3- or also as a 4/2-way function with the designation WVPFA10. The electronics is fixed mounted on the pilot valve and protected against dirt and water. It is optionally available with an integrated controller.

Sensors with voltage or current outputs can be directly connected as feedback value generators. The available controller structures are optimised for use with hydraulic actuations. The control takes place via an analog interface or a fieldbus interface (CANopen, J1939 or Profibus DP). The parametrisation takes place easily by means of the free of cost parameterisation and diagnostics software PASO or via fieldbus interface. The electronics are factory set and adjusted with the valve, to guarantee high valve-to-valve reproducibility. Therewith a valve exchange on the machine becomes a simple Plug & Play.
