Bio-Chem Valve Inc. has introduced a new line of solenoid-operated valves which are available in Europe from Omnifit Ltd. The miniature Pure-Chem™ Valves employ fluid handling technology developed for high-purity medical applications. They feature an inert, all-plastic fluid path and can handle high-purity, aggressive and corrosive liquids. The Pure-Chem™ Valves feature an inert, engineered plastic construction that separates the flow path of aggressive or high-purity fluid media from the solenoid. The valves are offered in two configurations: as a stand-alone component and as a manifold-ready unit. The stand-alone valve is available in both 2-way normally open and 2-way normally closed versions. It features tube connectors for attachment of 1.6mm ID soft tubing. The manifold version is supplied with a mounting collar for modular installation and replacement without tools.
