Revised standard for Nuclear Service Diaphragm Valves

The Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) of the Valve and Fittings Industry announces that SP-100-2020, Qualification Requirements for Elastomer Diaphragms for Nuclear Service Diaphragm Valves, has been revised and published by MSS.

Standard Practice (SP)-100 has served as an industry norm for over 32 years; providing a method for the qualification of elastomer diaphragms, following methodology and documentation as described in Appendix QR-B of ASME QME-1, that are intended for use in Class 2 and 3 diaphragm valves applicable to Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). SP-100 continues to be maintained under the consensus of MSS Technical Committee 406, Diaphragm Valves.

The revised Standard Practice, MSS SP-100-2020, is now available from authorized U.S. and global distributors. It has been published in an electronic version (PDF) and book format.
