CBS ArcSafeTM remote switch operators are used to operate various types and styles of circuit breakers and controls remotely. With a remote switch operator, a service technician can operate, trip, and close release circuit breakers from a safe distance.
The remote switch operators can be used in conjunction with the CBS ArcSafe remote racking system, or independently as a stand-alone device.
The CBS ArcSafe remote switch operators reduce the need for a full-body arc flash hazard suit by allowing service personnel to stand outside the arc flash boundary. The remote switch actuators are held to in place by strong magnets and no modifications are required to the switchgear.
There are several versions of the CBS ArcSafe universal remote switch actuators, which enables the system to be used with numerous different types of circuit breakers and motor controls. Each CBS ArcSafe remote switch operator is powered by the Model RSO-1 portable base unit that includes a 24vdc power supply and a pendant control or radio remote control.
