Score awarded actuator service and maintenance contract

Score Group, a specialist in valve actuation and engineered solutions has won a service level agreement covering critical flow control assets for Valero. Valero is the independent oil refiner; it owns and operates 15 refineries across the US, Canada, and the UK. The logistics department is responsible for the critical running of the pipelines and terminals that transport, refine and distribute essential fuels and other petrochemical products. These essential operations are actuator intensive. Score Europe and Valero Logistics UK have announced the awarding of a contract on these sites for the maintenance of electric and electro-hydraulic actuators from industry-leading flow control manufacturers Rotork.

The service level agreement has been awarded for five years. Score is responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of isolation and critical SIL rated actuators (Rotork Skilmatic, Rotork A Range, and Rotork IQ MK1/2/3) and valves. The expert servicing provided by Score ensures the smooth running of critical flow control operations, minimising plant downtime, improving plant reliability and availability. The combination of planned maintenance and servicing, including the analysis of actuator and valve performance data, will help Valero provide safe and reliable fuel supplies across the UK. Score is responsible for Valero flow control assets on sites in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Plymouth, Manchester, and Kingsbury. To support the everyday running of flow control on Valero sites, Score provides a 24-hour/365-day call service, with a complete stock of OEM spares, actuators, and fully stocked service vans.
