Universal bandsaw

VETEC Ventiltechnik, a valve company in Speyer, Germany, chose KASTO’s KASTOtec after having done test cuts with bandsaws of different types. In particular, it was difficult to find an economical way of cutting such different materials as Hastelloy and other stainless steels, centrifugal casting, aluminium, aluminium alloys and various other steels. After an intensive search, VETEC chose the Power Bandsaw KASTOtec AC4 because of its ability to cut automatically even the most difficult materials, up to the shortest remnants, in a cost-effective manner. Other reasons included its robust construction, high-performance construction elements from machine tool manufacturing, the possibility to use carbide saw blades, the adaptable automation of material handling, good access to the saw area and finally the parameter-oriented technology control. Another advantage of the KASTOtec concept was that the integrated, combined material feed and clamping device allows all materials to be cut automatically to a very short remnant.
