David Hager joins MRC Global’s Board of Directors

MRC Global Inc. (MRC) has announced the appointment of David A. Hager, formerly Executive Chairman of Devon Energy Corporation, to its board of directors.

Hager’s tenure at Devon Energy includes serving as Executive Chairman from 2021 to 2023 and as President and CEO from 2015 to 2021. Before joining Devon, he held roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President – Exploration & Production. Prior to his time at Devon, Hager was the Chief Operating Officer of Kerr-McGee Corporation, where he started as Vice President, Operations, Gulf of Mexico, and progressed through increasing levels of responsibility. He initiated his career as an exploration geophysicist with Mobil Oil Corporation and later held various positions at Sun Company Inc. Hager holds a BS in Geophysics from Purdue University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Beyond his board service at Devon Energy, Hager has also served as a non-executive director at both EnLink Midstream, LLC, from 2014 to 2018, and Pride International Inc. from 2008 until 2011.

Hager will contribute his expertise to MRC Global by serving on the board’s Audit Committee and the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) & Enterprise Risk Committee. The chairmanship of the ESG & Enterprise Risk Committee will transition to George Damiris, while Ms. Duganier will continue her role on both the Audit Committee and ESG & Enterprise Risk Committee until the conclusion of her term.
