Dundee fabrication firm seals BP deal

A Dundee pipework and heavy fabrication firm has secured a contract worth in the region of GBP 0.5 million with BP Oil UK Ltd, the Tayside company’s largest oil and gas-related order in its 18 year history. Due for completion in February 2002, work will begin during the next few weeks on: the pre-fabrication and installation of all pipework and supports; installation of process valves; and the commissioning of all pipe systems and equipment for the redevelopment of the gantry loading system at BP Oil UK Ltd’s Inverness-based storage and distribution terminal. Riverside Engineering Services Ltd managing director Gary Mitchelson said: “All pre-fabrication will take place at our Prince Charles Wharf facility and we will be adding to our workforce as a result of the new contract.
