NorSea Group sets up new company

NorSea Group has established a new subsidiary, NSG Maritime. The new company will provide engineering and marine services to the oil & gas and maritime industries. NSG Maritime will be operational from March 2014.

Chemically-resistant sensor for low-flow liquids

Sensirion of Switzerland, the manufacturer of digital microsensors, is expanding its range of liquid-flow sensors for measuring low flow rates. The new LS32-1500 liquid-flow sensor is designed for flow rates of 0-40ml/min, extending the range of potential application areas over the successful LG16-series.

Lydall acquires Andrew Filtration

Lydall acquired the industrial filtration businesses (Andrew Filtration) of Andrew Industries (Andrew), a UK-based corporation, for USD 83M in cash. The transaction strengthens Lydall's position as a global provider of filtration and engineered materials products, and diversifies the company's end markets and geographic revenue base.

Samsung Engineering signs Algeria Timimoun project

Samsung Engineering signed the Algeria Timimoun Field Development project worth USD 800M with Groupement Timimoun (GTIM), a joint venture between Sonatrach, Total and Cepsa. The signing ceremony was held in Algiers, the capital of Algeria in the presence of Samsung Engineering President and CEO Park Choong-Heum and Sonatrach President & CEO Abdelhamid Zerguine.

WGPSN wins contract Talisman Sinopec Energy UK

Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) secured its first major contract in the UK in 2014. The five-year contract from Talisman Sinopec Energy UK is valued at USD 500M, and includes an option for two additional two-year extensions.
