MSA delivers valves to Fortum AB

MSA, a.s. has won tender for delivery of valves for Fortum AB, a Swedish distributor of heat and electric energy. "Company Fortum AB, which is number one in distribution of heat energy in Scandinavia will be supplied with ball valves in nominal sizes 16" – 36", Class 150 during April and May in total value of EUR 307,000.

BASF, SINOPEC break ground for INA plant in China

BASF and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) broke ground on the construction of their isononanol (INA) plant in Maoming Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Maoming, China. Scheduled for start-up in 2015, the plant, which is the first of its kind in China, will serve the increasing market demand for next-generation plasticisers.

EXAIR’s new long ionising bars that can eliminate static electricity on paper, film and plastics up to 96″ wide are now available. Static electricity can attract dust and foreign materials, ruin product appearance, produce tearing or jamming and zap personnel.

Forum to supply 7 ROV to DOF Subsea

Forum Energy Technologies received an order from DOF Subsea AS, Bergen, Norway to supply seven Perry XLX 200HP work-class remote operated vehicle (ROV) systems, including five Dynacon Launch and Recovery systems (LARs).

ArcelorMittal Bremen has chosen SKF to customise and supply 30 electromechanical actuators for use in the continuous casting of steel. The order is one of the biggest for a mechatronics solution that SKF Germany has ever received from a customer in the metals industry.

Freudenberg-NOK launches R55 Seal for wind systems

Freudenberg-NOK Merkel has developed its new Merkel Radiamatic R 55 radial shaft sealing ring for rotary shafts that drive wind systems. The R 55 has been designed with an integrated deflector lip that protects wind turbine systems against harsh environment elements and eliminates the need to use a second seal – a common practice in existing wind systems.
