Scomi Energy Services wins PETRONAS contracts
Scomi Energy Services Bhd, formerly known as Scomi Marine Bhd, (SESB) secured two contracts from PETRONAS Carigali Myanmar (PCMI) and PETRONAS Carigali (Hong Kong) (PCML) for the provision of drilling fluids, solid control, well bore cleanout, drilling waste management equipment, materials and services.
Damen Shipyards Sharjah officially open
The official opening ceremony of Damen Shipyards Sharjah FZE (DSS) – the newest shipyard of Albwardy Marine Engineering – was held on 13 January. In a joint venture between the Damen Shipyards Group and Albwardy Marine Engineering, the core activities at DSS will continue along the tried and trusted course of Damen new-builds and Albwardy’s conversions, dry-dockings and repairs.
GE gas turbine at Lichterfelde plant
IBERDROLA INGENIERÍA has awarded the supply contract for the installation of a gas turbine at Germany’s Lichterfelde combined-cycle plant to GE. GE will provide the advanced technology 9F gas turbine as well as operations and maintenance of the turbine for 25 years.
