The acquisition of Renfro Associates Inc. by Rotork Plc. heralds the expansion of Renfro’s valve adaptation and accessories business to cover all of the USA.
From its home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Renfro Associates has been designing and manufacturing valve automation packages encompassing actuators, gearboxes, instrumentation and fabricated adaptation for flow control applications in industries including oil & gas, water treatment and food processing since 1979.
Emerson opens nuclear excellence centre
Emerson Process Management has opened a Nuclear Excellence Centre dedicated to engineering, services and training for Fisher valves. The new centre at Emerson’s valve manufacturing facility in Cernay, France, will offer a range of specialist training courses and expanded lifecycle care services for Fisher valves and Emerson instrumentation for nuclear applications to engineering and safety authorities and end users in the nuclear industry.
Toyota Tsusho plans hydrogen station network

SIPOS’ actuators for Dillinger Hütte steel plant
SIPOS Aktorik has secured a contract to supply advanced actuation technology to the Dillinger Hütte steel plant in Germany. The company’s SIPOS 5 HiMod actuators have been selected for essential valve control automation of a new double-strand continuous caster authorised by the Supervisory Board of Aktien-Gesellschaft der Dillinger Hüttenwerke (Dillinger Hütte).
