Metso to quit SNJ joint venture

Metso has entered into an agreement to sell its shares of its joint venture company Shanghai-Neles Jamesbury Valve Company (SNJ) to the other joint venture partner, Shanghai Electric International Economic & Trading Company (SEIC).

AUMA’s solution approach secures supercritical pow

AUMA’s Solution approach to actuation helped secure an order for over 500 electric actuators at the Ledvice coal-fired power plant in the Czech Republic.
The company’s actuators, controls and gearboxes have been delivered to a new state-of-the-art 660MW block that is expected to commence operations in 2016.

Queens award for enterprise

Manchester-based Tenmat, a specialist manufacturer of highly technical composite materials, has won the Queens Award for the second year running. Tenmat won the Queen’s Award for outstanding achievement in International Trade.

Valveforce introduces new flow isolating valves

Emerson’s remote-mount digital valve controller

Emerson Process Management have introduced their Fisher® FIELDVUE™ DVC6205 remote-mount digital valve controller to the market. They state that it proves an ideal solution for applications in which accessibility, extreme temperatures (up to 120°C / 250°F), extreme vibration or confined space make integral mounting difficult or impractical.
