Hitachi’s “100 year commitment” to UK

Japanese company Hitachi has signed an almost GBP 700 million deal giving it rights to build a new generation of power plants in the United Kingdom. Hitachi will buy Horizon Nuclear Power, which was intending to build reactors on existing sites at Wylfa, Anglesey, and Oldbury, near Bristol.

Repack-S announces OSIS

High-performance, composite sealing specialist, Repack-S has announced OSIS, an innovative polyurethane (PU) rubber On-Site Injection System, to join spliced seals in large hydropower valve equipment. The ultra-portable, OSIS system ensures a completely homogeneous, high integrity sealing joint during equipment maintenance, avoiding the loss in mechanical strength experienced with other seal joining techniques.

Global demand for oilfield equipment forecast
