Phase one included construction of a new 400,000 square foot [37,000 m2] manufacturing facility, phase two was machinery and test equipment upgrades and the third and final phase was the construction of a 6,000 square foot [550 m2] cryogenic cleaning facility. “Consolidating two separate locations into one state of the art location significantly improves our employee engagement while additionally increasing our manufacturing efficiencies.” Brandy Cow, art executive vice president, “We will continue to strategically invest in infrastructure that positions Powell for growth both domestically and internationally.” Powell now has cryogenic cleaning capabilities in Orangeburg, South Carolina and Yancheng City, China.

ANRPC will use Honeywells UOP technology

newsitemUOP LLC, a Honeywell company has announced that Egypt's ANRPC will use UOP technology and equipment as part of a USD 300M, multi-year project to expand an existing, gasoline production facility to meet growing domestic demand for high-octane gasoline. ANRPC will add a second UOP CCR Platforming™ process unit, including a modular CCR section, at the facility in Alexandria to produce high-quality reformate, which is used to produce high-octane, low-sulfur gasoline.

Canada’s First LNG Ferry Has Bestobell Valves

Bestobell Valves is supplying cryogenic valves to recently launched Canada’s first LNG-fuelled ferry – the MV Armand-Imbeau II.

It is the first of two dual fuel ferries being built for ferry operator Société des Traversiers du Québec.
