James Walker’s ‘future ready’ valve sealing performance

As emissions regulations continue to tighten, spurred by initiatives like the global methane emissions reduction pledge, James Walker introduces a new valve stem fugitive emissions product designed to offer ‘future-ready’ performance for valve manufacturers, maintenance companies, and end-users.

The latest addition to their product line, the Supagraf 100FXI CS packing combination set, has been meticulously engineered to surpass all current fugitive emissions standards. This ensures that it can be confidently specified in valve designs, knowing it will meet performance requirements well into the future.

Qualified to the latest API 622, 3rd edition, including Annex-C (HT) 2022, through extensive testing conducted by Yarmouth Research and Technology, USA, the Supagraf 100FXI CS achieved outstanding results. With maximum fugitive emissions levels of 10-12 ppm over 1510 cycles and no loss of torque or adjustment needed throughout the test, it sets a new standard in sealing reliability.

Additionally, the packing set is Fire Safe certified to API 607, 8th edition, with zero leakage during and after the fire. Furthermore, it has qualified to API 624, 2nd edition, including Annex D (HT), API 641, 2nd edition, including Annex C (HT), and ISO 15848 standard up to 400°C.
