Adanac sees increased demands for jacketed valves

Adanac has seen a dramatic increase in orders for jacketed valves. A large proportion of these valves are destined for UK production sites. In July and August 2013, Adanac manufactured 69 jackets fitted to a range of stainless steel ball valves for one customer, and in September and October, they shipped a further 45 valves with either full or partial jackets.

Generation 3 RDS technology for rotary valves

GEA Nu-Con’s launched Generation 3 Rotor Detection System (RDS) for rotary valves that can detect the contamination occurring during production as well as monitor the condition of the critical components within the rotary valve and warn operators when their replacement becomes necessary.

MSA valves supplied to construction of pipeline

MSA, a.s., has supplied valves for Eustream, a natural gas transport company in Slovakia. The valves were designed for the new pipeline which will connect Slovakia and Hungary.
“This order involved supplies of ball valves in nominal size 20", Class 600.

Bibby named as Subsea Company of the Year

Bibby Offshore was named company of the year at Subsea UK’s ninth annual awards ceremony. This award, sponsored by Costain Upstream, was presented to the firm in recognition of its continued growth and investment in people.

Unique Seaflex helps Lundin FPSO mooring retrieval

Unique Seaflex, a Unique Maritime Group company that provides integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solutions, has facilitated one of the most complex underwater lift projects. The project was carried out for Lundin Tunisia BV in approximately 300m of water.

KONGSBERG technology supplier for Petrofac vessel

KONGSBERG has been appointed as the supplier and integrator of all electrical, telecom and integrated control systems for the new Petrofac JSD 6000 deepwater derrick lay vessel, to be built at the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co.

DNV GL wins “mega” project contract in North Sea

DNV GL UK has secured the third party ICP (Independent Competent Person) multi-million GBP contract, related to compliance with UK Offshore Regulations for the Statoil Mariner project.  The award is the culmination of two years’ of project FEED support, assisting Statoil in developing Performance Standards and the Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) under the UK Offshore Safety Case Regulations for the Production Drilling Quarters (PDQ), Subsea, Umbilical’s, Risers & Flowlines (SURF) and the Floating Storage Unit (FSU).

Safety-monitoring software from ACM

ACM Facility Safety released the SafeGuard Sentinel safety-monitoring software to measure, monitor and alert operations and management to process safety risks. The software also delivers contingency plans that can be executed immediately to address issues and reduce risk.

AGR targets field abandonment projects in APAC
