The company SAPAG VALVES has a long history of over 100 years. It began in 1849 with its foundry activity and the creation of a mechanical construction factory for the sugar industry. At the same time, it developed the manufacture of copper pipes under the name of Henry Basset. It then started producing valves in 1920 to meet the needs of the sugar industry. In 1929 it changed its name to “Les Ateliers de Saint Sulpice”. In 1972, the company joined the French group Pont à Mousson, then in 1986 became GRI-SAPAG by joining the French group Alsthom. In 1999, it joined the American group TYCO-Flow Control and became SAPAG, before joining the PENTAIR group and then EMERSON. In 2017, the company became autonomous again and was named PVI (Picardie valves to join the IPI group in 2019.
In order to give a new dynamic to the company, the IPI group decided in 2022 to honour the origins of the company, highlighting our prestigious brand: “SAPAG”, a symbol of quality and internationally recognised, by renaming the company “SAPAG VALVES”.
SAPAG VALVES is one of the leading French manufacturers of industrial valves, thanks to its great brands of excellence such as : SAPAG®, GACHOT®, CLASAR®, MONOVAR®, RMI DUBEX®, a wide range of valves for all industrial applications, including elastomer lined, PTFE and double and triple eccentric butterfly valves with PTFE, Fire safe or metal seats, as well as a range of 2-piece and 3-piece ball valves, but also control valves, check valves and relief valves.
The company now employs more than 118 people to manage all aspects of industrial valves through its production, purchasing, machining, assembly and testing units, as well as all support functions. An experienced sales department that listens to customers and markets, supported by the Research and Development department, completes the strength of SAPAG Valves at the service of its users.
